I was checking out the Fun Monday participants and finally got to Jenni at Prairie Air. The 2nd part of her post, the part regarding food, is what led to this post.
Jenni made Ree's Bread Pudding, For Those Who Think They Don't Like Bread Pudding. And Whiskey Cream Sauce to Boot.
To illustrate exactly how wonderful this bread pudding was, Jenni included this YouTube video, along with the disclaimer that she (Jenni) wasn't faking it.
I recognized this still. I love this movie. I love this scene. I played it just for grins.
Buddy loved it, too.
Note: the older lady customer was played by Estelle Reiner, the director's (Rob Reiner) mom.

I think that is Karmyn's favorite movie
LOL! Now thats how you make a point!
Glad you got a kick out of that. Actually, I think I posted about that recipe the first time I made it--and I think I used the same clip or a spoof in that post. It really is that good! Thanks for the link:o)
What a great picture of Buddy! Cracks me up!
I really want bread pudding now and I haven't recovered from last nights food poisoning!
Yes, it is one of my favorite movies of all time!
A few years after that movie came out, I was watching The Young and the Restless (when I used to watch - yrs ago)...and one of the characters did the EXACT same scene. It just wasn't as good as when Meg Ryan did it.
Love that movie!!
I meant to tell you that I like the new blog look!!
That is one of the greatest movie scenes of all times.
The Park Wife
Bread pudding is my number one keyword from Google on my Belgian blog! I love the one your friend posted, I have printed it! Oh and that sauce???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yummie!
I played the clip yesterday just to see it again~buddy is so funny watching the screen so intently :)
Just wanted to pop over and thank you for your continued prayers. xo
Mr. Mayhem always has a smart answer for this scene that goes something like, "We don't CARE if you are faking it!"
Yeah right! :)
Love the picture. LOVE the movie. And, I knew that was Rob's mom. Kinda creepy, really.
Meg Ryan ROCKED that scene! No one could ever even come close!!
How funny, you've caught the dog's attention. :) I've always loved that movie!
That's one of my favorite movies of all times. I can quote entire scenes and so I knew that Reiner's mom was the "I'll have what she's having" lady. Because my brain is filled with tons of stupid useless information like that. Sigh...
Hi, How are you. Funny blog by the way. I have a fabulous goodie-type blog {a giveaway a week} you should check out: Petit Elefant.
