Thankful Thursday #2 - the Freezing Edition

The last week, we have been blessed with sunny weather. We have been blessed with sunny, cold weather. We did not make it above freezing for longer than 1/2 hour on any given day and some days not at all.

These are the things I have been thankful for during the last week.

Warm dishwater on a freezing day.
Pipes that are not frozen on a freezing day.
Folding laundry fresh out of the dryer on a freezing day.
A puppy sleeping on your lap on a freezing day.
The one pair of levis that is still large enough to put long johns under on a freezing day.
Being able t buy perishables at a store 30 miles away and not worry about them spoiling in the car, on a freezing day.
A sink deep enough and wide enough to completely submerge my big stockpot after I have made THE Pasta on a freezing day.
Now, if you'd like, click on over to Julie's for the rest of the participants.

ha. those are all excellent. how about adding:

a hot bowl of oatmeal on a freezing day

mittens on the radiator on a freezing day

coming back in the house for the evening after walking the dogs, knowing you don't have to go back out again for 12 more hours, on a freezing day.

I love that one of being able to buy perishables and not worry about it. I take a drink everywhere I go and that's the thing I love about this time of year, my ice never melts. :)

Would it be safe to say, "It's cold at your place."

So true! Nothing feels better than putting your hands in warm dishwater on a cold day!

I'm thankful for my sweatpants and sweatshirts on a freezing day. And a warm hubby to cuddle up with at night.

Oh my goodness! I am also thankful I don't have that weather. Last year we had an ice storm and my son was home for 4 days. Bored out of his mind. You be sure and stay warm.
Hugs,
Lois

Whata fun post...have to remind yourself why it's good in order to keep the BAH's away! My parents water has frozen every day the past 2 weeks. They live in WY. I'm thankful that I don't :-)

I want a puppy very badly. Right now it's just not feasible, but maybe next year!

I am cold, too. But grateful to have a warm house!

I was thankful the ice-cream cone SD was holding didn't melt on the way home from 31 flavors.

Ahhh, fresh laundry. I bury my face as each load comes out of the dryer;).

(I finally put my post up...though I was a little bit late;)).

I can relate to every one of these! Especially the "The one pair of Levis that is still large enough to put long johns under on a freezing day." as I have to go out and feed the chickens and dogs in the early AM daily. I'd die without long-johns!
