Julie destroying her target
2 out of 6
Aim...
Fire...
Hurray, I hit it!
1 out of 6(but I hit it!)
So, a couple of weeks ago, my daughter took the class to get her CHL. She scored 100% on the written and a 233 out of 250 on the practical (175 is passing). I tried out her gun last night. It was the first time I had shot a gun in about 17 years. I took the same class today and scored 98% on the written and 237 on the practical.
Since Juls and I are quite possibly the two most competitive women I know, it was a nice split. She can gloat about the written and I can gloat about the practical.
AND - best of all - no fingernails were broken either during the shooting of the guns or the typing of this blog!

ohh I love to target shoot. My husband and I have been talking about going to get our permit to carry a concealed weapon. Not that I would, I just want to say I can. =)
Thanks for the comment, Vicki. I checked out your profile and noted Legends of the Fall as your favorite movie. Mine is Man from Snowy River. Best line? "I'll be back for the mare - and whatever else is mine." Oh yeah.
Hey if you like the Man from Snowy River, you should check out my posts for the 6th and 7th of September last year (I would have put links on for you, but I'm struggling with this computer).
The Post of the 6th is a couple of pictures of a Stock Horse (the kind that's in the movie) and the post of the 7th is the poem that the movie is about (in case you are not aware of it)
Willowtree -
THANK YOU so much! The pictures are great and the poem even better. I read your blog every day although I don't often comment. Your dry sense of humor just starts my day off right. Thanks again.
You're welcome.
It's always great when you don't break any nails!!!
