Last May, Julie and I brought home this oak tree in the back seat of the Lincoln. So far, the dogs have not eaten it and the wind has not destroyed it.
We have had terrible winds this winter and have lost quite a few shingles off of our roof. The tree has managed to hang onto one solitary leaf.

I see the signs here, too
It hit 72 degrees today. It was sweet. But the snows are moving in again tomorrow.... 2 feet expected in the high country. Big sigh....
I got that feeling here, too. Oh, I hope so!
The azaleas are popping out all over - which means either winter is over, or we're about to get a BIG cold snap!
I know you all will be able to start reaping from any vegetable garden about the time we are planting ours, still, spring isn't far off. :)
