I have, of course, tweaked it. It's what I do.
Crock pot roast
Take some vegetables, whatever you have on hand, although I favor the traditional carrots, onions and potatoes. Chunk them and put them in the bottom of the crock pot. On top of these, place a frozen roast. I prefer a nice little pork tenderloin. Put enough California blend garlic salt on the roast to completely cover it. Put the lid on and turn it on. I usually just turn it on high for however long it will cook. Can you tell that I am not really crock pot savvy?
That's it. I know it sounds too simple and easy to work but this is the best roast ever! Oh, and if you don't have veggies in your house, the supermarket carries a frozen stew blend (onions, potatoes, carrots, and celery) that works well also.
Enjoy!

Yum! DO you put water in it? My mom passed one on to me - boston butt rubbed with butter and sage and cooked in the crock pot. Oh my was that tasty! My crock pot gets a little workout when the weather turns!
Thanks for playing - it's so much more fun when someone else plays!
yum! I love the crockpot this time of year, too, I think it's because I feel like I can free up the oven for something else, and then you smell the stuff cooking all day, and say at the end of the day, you bake a loaf of bread and it warms up the kitchen at just the right time of day! excellent! I'll be posting soon!
Sounds good. I turn mine up to high for 1/2 hour and then down to low for however many hours until I can't stand the wonderful aroma anymore and need to dig in.
I love a good roast in the crockpot, but I often wonder if it's fair to leave the dogs home alone all day with the increasing smell!
