PPL - Haiku

This month's topic is "Spring" and the poetic form chosen by Robin is Haiku. I pulled the rules I remembered out of my childhood and here is the result.

Fragrance fills the air
Cherry blossoms everywhere
Breezes lofting fair

Bags of steer manure
Roses, fuchsias, bulbs galore
Feeding future dreams

Sprinklers on the lawn
Droplets sparkling in the air
Shaking dogs drenching

These are great Sandy!!

You really gave us wonderful pictures to savor.

Now I wish I'd followed haiku rules instead of my feelings.

Oh, Sandy...KUDOS TIMES THREE!!

You had me going in one direction (romantic, smelling delicious Spring scents, light and airy) and then catapulted me in the opposite direction with MANURE! HA!!

All three coaxed vivid imagery from my mind--a FANTASTIC job with this month's challenge.

Always so glad to read what you have to offer (in posts/poems and comments!)

Manure in spring? Oh yeah - I guess it is time to get the fields all fertilized for planting.

I like how you rhymed the first one.

Vivid images
in this series of Haiku …
assaulting senses ;--)

I usually do Haiku Friday each week but decided I could do 'double' duty since one was about Spring ;--)
Joyful Burst of Color

Hugs and blessings,

You did a great job! You made me feel like I had somehow jumped into Spring right from my computer.
