Our hostess for this week's Fun Monday is Mariposa. She would like to hear about, actually I guess she would like to read about, those small indulgences that make life bearable. I have several. This will come as no surprise to those who know me.

My favorite pamper? Sheets. I grew up with inexpensive sheets and this was back in the day before thread counts were listed on the packaging. Now? Nothing less than 600, sweetie. If you have not slept in great sheets before, please do so now. Well worth the extra money since they get nothing but better the more you wash them.

Next on the list? Manicures. I no longer have acrylic nails but I do go in every couple of weeks and have a manicure. I have never been a nail biter but I do chew on my cuticles. Disgusting, I know, but I do it less if my nails are well tended.

Now please go visit every one else and let's all just pamper ourselves silly this next week.

I know what you mean about sheets. I always said that if I ever became rich (no chance) I would have my sheets changed daily.

I so agree about the sheet's thread count. I have been buying much better sheets and they are so soft and comforting.

I guess I'll have to check out expensive sheets. I wear jammies, tho. so I probably wouldn't know the difference. (Not so with the old man, he sleeps in the buff.)

snicker. buff. anyway, I digress. we got like 250 thread count sheets and thought they were pretty good, are the higher ones even that much better? i'd love to know. we could put those on our christmas list for this coming year. I'm a late add, but come visit me!

Oh the simple pleasures, who would have thought that sheets could have such a reaction. Sleep well

Oh, I love high-count sheets! They are so much cooler than the lower-counts too. Very important when living in Florida!!!!!

I have that bad cuticle habit too. That's probably why I never bother with manicures. Apparently my thinking is wrong on that count.

Nuttin' worse than cheap sheets! They scratch, they get those tiny balls on them, they don't last. Spend the extra $$$ on good sheets . . . they're definitely worth it!!
