I'm trying to...This resonates with me so much! I'm trying to teach my son as well. From the time he was little, we'd go shopping for Toys for Tots. He was aghast that there were kids who didn't have toys when he loved his so much. Now that he's older, he's concerned that kids don't have enough food or the clothes they need to stay warm. As I clean out closets regularly or participate in Angel Trees or Habitat events, I take him with me so he can see that even just me (or him) can make a difference in someone's life.
